## How it works

WebP is what most websites serve today because it is small. Many editors, print shops and older programs still do not open it. JPG is the universal photo format, accepted everywhere. Converting in the browser means the originals never leave your phone or computer, which matters for personal photos and documents.

## Questions

### Is there a file limit?

50 files per batch and 50 MB per file. Large phone photos convert in about a second each.

### Why does my file say it is not a WebP file?

We check the real content of the file, not its name. A photo renamed to .webp is still what it was and should be converted with the matching tool.

### What happens to transparency?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. Convert to PNG instead to keep them.
