## What to expect

A 30-second clip fits 16 MB at full 1080p. A 2-minute clip lands at 720p with good quality. A 5-minute clip is reduced to 640p; for anything longer, trim the clip or send it as a document.

## Tips

- Trim before compressing. Every second removed gives the rest of the video more quality.
- Tick Remove audio for screen recordings and clips with no speech; it frees around 10 percent of the budget.
- Check the size shown after compression. If it says 15.6 MB you are safe; WhatsApp measures the same way.

### Why does WhatsApp make my videos blurry?

WhatsApp re-encodes videos sent as messages to save data for the receiver. A file already under 16 MB at 720p is passed through without a second compression.

### Can I send a 100 MB video on WhatsApp?

Yes, as a document: tap the attach icon and choose Document instead of Gallery. It will not play inline, but it arrives unchanged.

### Does the video upload to this website?
