## How it works

Drop your images, choose By quality for a quick shrink or To a target size when a form says “maximum 100 KB”. Press Compress and download. Up to 50 images at once.

To a target size tries quality levels first and only reduces dimensions if needed, so the photo stays as sharp as the limit allows. Max side lets you cap width or height, for example 1920 px for web use.

## Questions

### How do I compress a photo to 20 KB for a government form?

Choose To a target size, press 20, then Compress. If the photo is very large the tool also scales it down to fit under the limit.

### Will PNG transparency survive?

Only when you keep PNG at 95% quality or higher. Target-size mode converts to JPG, which has no transparency; use PNG to WebP for smaller transparent images.

### Is the quality visibly worse?

At 75% to 85% most people cannot tell the difference on a phone screen while the file is three to five times smaller.
