## How it works

Type your current grade, the overall grade you want, and how much the final counts, for example 30 for 30%. The result is the minimum score on the final.

Formula: needed = (target − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight. The table below the result shows what you need for several targets at once.

### My current grade is an average of several assignments. Which number do I use?

Use the weighted average your course shows so far, excluding the final. Most learning platforms display it.

### What if the final is split into two parts?

Add their weights together and treat them as one exam, or run the tool twice.
