## How it works

Drop your AVIF files or tap to choose them, press Convert, then download each file or all at once. The quality slider controls file size; 90% is visually identical to the original for photos.

AVIF is the newest web image format, even smaller than WebP, and the least supported outside browsers. JPG is the universal photo format, accepted everywhere. Converting in the browser means the originals never leave your phone or computer, which matters for personal photos and documents.

## Questions

### Is there a file limit?

50 files per batch and 50 MB per file. Large phone photos convert in about a second each.

### Why does my file say it is not a AVIF file?

We check the real content of the file, not its name. A photo renamed to .avif is still what it was and should be converted with the matching tool.

### What happens to transparency?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. Convert to PNG instead to keep them.
